Helps Ministries

"Putting on the apron of humility to serve one another"
1 Peter 5:5

The Ministry of Helps exists to serve the congregation of Bethel by identifying and meeting felt needs, both individually and corporately. Helps Ministry teams include: Fellowship Hour, Safety/Security/Parking, and Ushers/Greeters. Our ultimate vision is that we will be so effective that the ministry will become a powerful evangelistic tool, drawing people to Bethel because they want to be part of a body that cares for one another.

Fellowship Hour

It may come as a surprise for those who have never ventured over to the Body Shop Fellowship Hall on Sunday, but the church hosts a fellowship hour each week with bagels, donuts, coffee and juice. The fellowship hour provides a time for members and visitors of Bethel Christian Fellowship (BCF) to meet together after service and enjoy some refreshments. Donations are appreciated, but not required.

Safety/Parking

The members of this ministry are dedicated to providing safety and security for those who attend Bethel. They control Sunday service traffic, provide parking lot surveillance and security at special events, lock/unlock facilities, and guide and direct people. Team members are expected to remain uninvolved in situations for as long as safely possible, and avoid confrontations. They are taught to report incidents to leaders and how to obtain assistance in emergency situations.

Ushers/Greeters

The people who serve in this ministry have the responsibility of greeting members and visitors into Sunday services and other corporate events, providing direction to those unfamiliar with our facility, and generally making them feel welcome. Members of this ministry collect tithes and offerings, prepare and serve Holy Communion, assist in seating people, and provide information or support to people during our services.
