Welcome to Pure Streams – the prophetic equipping ministry of Bethel Christian Fellowship. The aim of this ministry is to fulfill the mandate found in Ephesians 4:12, “for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.” Our mission is to equip the believer to hear from God and to develop their God-given gifts so that they could be prepared to fulfill their individual ministries.  

Why the name Pure Streams? We desire to be a “Pure Stream” for the Holy Spirit. If a believer is not careful, they could allow biases and preconceived notions to muddy the waters of revelation from the Holy Spirit. We aim to be a submitted vessel to the Holy Spirit so that His message can flow through us purely.  

WHAT IS THE PROPHETIC? 

Allow me to explain what prophetic ministry is for those of you who are seeing the term for the first time. The prophetic basically refers to that part of our Christian lives that pertains to hearing from God. Jesus said in John 10:27, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” If we belong to Jesus, we are His sheep, which means that we have what we need to hear His voice – we have the Holy Spirit. According to that Scripture, because we hear His voice, He knows us intimately, and the end result is that we follow Him. Isn’t that wonderful? The end result of hearing from God is that He directs us in the way that we should go. We hear from God to know His will and to obey. That, in essence, is the prophetic.  

What we aim to do in Pure Streams ministry is to equip the believers on how to hear God for themselves. After that initial training, we provide opportunities where they can learn how to hear from the Lord for others by flowing in the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12). The end result are prophetic teams that are available to minister to those in need on a weekly basis here at the church.  

EVENTS

PROPHETIC BOOTCAMP 

The Prophetic Bootcamp is the first event for those who want to be trained in the prophetic. We offer this three-day bootcamp quarterly and cover topics such as: 

- Hearing the Voice of God                - Hearing God in Dreams

- Gifts of the Holy Spirit                    - Gift of Prophecy

- Prophetic Protocol                            - Understanding Symbolism 

PURE STREAMS PROPHETIC TEAMS

After the Prophetic Bootcamp, Bethel members who complete the course are given an opportunity to serve on a prophetic team. These prophetic teams rotate regularly to provide ministry at Sunday morning services, church functions, and special ministry events outside of Bethel. Regularly, we receive invitations to minister at other churches and events in the region.  

ALTAR MINISTRY TEAM

Another option for using the prophetic gift is to serve on the Altar Ministry Team. This is a unique opportunity to serve as an extension of the church leadership who after the word is preached, utilize this team to help minister to those who have responded at the altar. Those who serve on this team have also completed the Prophetic Bootcamp. A special training is made available for this level of ministry in addition to the Bootcamp. 

THE SAMUEL COMPANY 

We understand that ongoing equipping is necessary to stay relevant with a prophetic gifting. For that reason we have a weekly prophetic equipping meeting that we call The Samuel Company. Why Samuel Company? Because like Samuel who was a Prophet, Priest and Judge, we believe that the believer should be equipped in the Prophetic, in Intercession and as Watchmen on the wall. Meetings are held every Tuesday night from 7:00pm – 8:30pm in The Body Shop. The format varies from guest speakers and workshops, to activations and roundtables. We also host a night we call, “Prophetic Expressions”, where we break out into sub-classes to study a specific niche in the prophetic. Classes offered right now are:

-          Prophetic Art

-          Prophetic Intercession

-          Prophetic Evangelism

-          A Prophetic View of Israel

-          Prophetic Pageantry and

-          Prophetic Poetry
