Cool Testimony about Lisa T.
What Happened...
I've listened to Mark Schultz music since his first CD. I was always touched by his music and the message in the story in all his songs touched a place in my life. When I heard He was coming to sing at Bethel two months before I scheduled myself from my second job off.
I didn't know how I was going to pay for it but had faith that God is a good Father and loves to bless His children and just prayed one time with my heart on that day (two month prior).
I also sing on the worship team. The monthly schedule had come out and the week Mark was scheduled to be there I was not scheduled to sing. However that Monday when I woke up I heard the Holy Spirit say you need to go to practice. I said, well, I'm not scheduled and I'm tired, can I just go to the devotional part and then come home. The Holy Spirit only responded you need to go to practice.
So I went, and discovered someone else couldn't make it and I would replace them singing. So after practice they were setting up the stage for Mark Schultz the next night. I heard the Holy Spirit say ask and you will receive. I said to Him in reply-no way, I'm to afraid to ask, I'm new here and nobody really knows me that well. The Holy Spirit simply repeated the phrase ask and you'll receive. So I asked the media crew if I could stay and help and help out tomorrow night so that I can attend the concert. I didn't care if I was in a place where I couldn't see Mark singing or playing, just to be there and hear him was enough. Well, it turned out they needed an extra body on the platform for any mishaps that may or may not occur during the concert. Then the next day I received a phone call that someone had an extra ticket if I wanted to go of which I was able and proud to say that I was going to be part of the media crew that night. I was leaping and skipping in the parking lot the night before so excited and happy.
Not only did God provide a way for me to attend through my willingness to serve, He also had another plan in place and showed me through His love that if I only ask, He is a good Father who loves to give good things to His Children to go above and beyond all that we ask or think. I think He laughs and skips with us when we are excited for what He does.
