+ Salvation

From the beginning, God had a plan for mankind; but man decided to chart his own destiny. Even though this action brought separation between God & man, God in His mercy, made a way to restore our broken relationship – through our faith in Jesus Christ.

Read these verses: Luke 19:10; 1 John 1:1-4; Genesis 3:8-24; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5-7; John 1:12, 3:16; Matthew 25:31-46; 1 Timothy 4:10; 1 John 2:2; Philippians 1:6; Romans 8:29-39.

BAPTISM.jpg

+ Baptism

Just as a wedding ring is an outward expression of marriage, water baptism is an outward expression of a commitment to follow Jesus. If you have accepted God’s gift of salvation, and if He’s the one you are now committed to, then water baptism is the next vital step in your walk with Christ.

Baptism is a time of celebration! Celebrate your new found freedom in Christ in the company of friends, family, and others who have decided to declare what Jesus means to them and what He’s done.

Let these scriptures encourage you as you consider this important step towards your commitment to Jesus: Matthew 3:14-16; Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16; Acts 8:12; Colossians 2:11-13.

COMMUNION.jpg

+ Communion

During the Last Supper when Jesus ate His last Passover meal with the disciples, He fulfilled one of the rituals that the Jews had been practicing during that ceremonial meal since the time of Moses. He was about to become the Passover Lamb and be slain, and He took the wine and bread, teaching the disciples a new way to commemorate Him. He instructed them not to wait for Passover to have this communion, but to do it often, to remember Him.

Believers are encouraged to participate in communion, and we generally have it as part of our service once a month. Read more about communion by looking up these verses: Exodus 12, Matthew 26:26-29; Mark 14:17-25; Luke 22:7-22; John 13:21-30; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29; 1 Corinthians 11:27-29
