GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The primary purpose of this position is to serve the families of infants and preschool-age children by providing leadership to a team of volunteers who will serve the families with excellence. The director will work as an important part of a Family Ministries Team to create opportunities for family-based events, as well as scheduling volunteers and planning lessons for the children in this area.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
> Work as an integral part of the Family Ministries Team to create and facilitate the vision for your part of the ministry
> Continually look to recruit and train new leaders
> Facilitate ongoing recruitment, training, resourcing, and communication with volunteers
> Establish a set of goals in your work plan that will facilitate growth in your area of ministry
> Schedule and provide general oversight and support to all Nursery through Preschool volunteers
> Identify and train one or two leaders who will assume general oversight and support for each of the areas: Infant - Preschool
> Connect with and encourage parents of the children in the ministry
> Provide ongoing vision and implementation for the improvement and development of the ministry
> Work to develop, maintain, and train leaders with proper safety and security procedures for your areas
> Plan and provide lessons and materials for all teachers
> Design, organize, maintain, and prepare classrooms
> Purchase needed materials and supplies for the ministry you oversee and its classrooms
> Oversee and manage the budget for Infants through Preschool
> Actively participate in regular worship and life at Bethel Christian Fellowship

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, REQUIREMENTS:
> A strong personal relationship with Jesus
> A heart for the body of Christ, and God’s work in the world
> Maintain personal, spiritual, and professional growth
> A passion and ability to work with young children, as you serve as a role model
> A demonstrated ability to lead, instruct, motivate, and direct people in accomplishing activities
> Must possess organizational and administrative skills
> Ability to communicate well, both written and oral
> Demonstrate a servant’s heart
> Possess a willingness and desire to grow
> High School Graduation is required
> Ability to encourage unity among staff by modeling our four Staff Core Values: Honor, Focus, Growth, and Team
> There will be frequent face-to-face discussions with individuals or teams
> Work at times will be unstructured, requiring on-the-spot decisions, creativity, and flexibility
> Will require a great deal of face-to-face contact and teamwork for success
> Must commit to working towards becoming a Member of Bethel Christian Fellowship

HOURS:
Part Time / Non-Exempt / 20 hours per week;
On-site work hours: Sunday mornings, Tuesday mornings, and Wednesday evenings from September to June

PAY:    $17.00 /hour

BENEFITS: Paid Vacation Time, PTO, Sick, Holidays; 403B
